HOMEConnecticut Campaign Reports on Progress Print E-mail

On June 4, 2008 the HOMEConnecticut Campaign held a press conference to mark the one-year anniversary of the enactment of the Connecticut Housing Program for Economic Growth.  This innovative Program provides municipalities with incentives to create affordable housing in their towns under a system of cooperation and choice.  So far, more than 25 towns have expressed interest in the Program and in applying for Planning and Technical Assistance Grants that help them to assess where affordable housing would best fit in their communities.  The press conference also focused on the continued need to build affordable housing in Connecticut, in spite of the recent subprime mortgage crisis.
